Meet Dr.Joseph Studebaker (Akron, OH)

Joseph Studebaker, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1984. He obtained his bachelor's degree at The Ohio State University, majoring in physics with a minor in organic chemistry.

His special field of interest includes ocular disease, such as medical management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and neuro-optometry. His decision to become an optometrist stemmed from finding similarities between the field and his interests in physics and natural sciences. Dr. Studebaker particularly enjoys problem-solving and resolving complex clinical, ocular, and vision-related presentations.

He served as the President of the Ohio Optometric Association in 2003 and was recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1994.
